This recipe was shared with me by a co-worker in 1972. Do not let the addition of beer discourage you from making this as it is very creamy and quite tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (do not substitute)
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup beer (any kind but not light)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 small onion, chopped in small pieces

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients well and form into two balls and roll in parsley flakes. Chill
