french bread
10 - 12 slice
mozzarella cheese
8 oz
cream cheese, softened
3/4 - 1 c
1 pkg
lipton onion soup mix
1 Tbsp
onion powder
1 Tbsp
garlic powder
1 lb
thick sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 - 1 c
green or red bell pepper ( i used closer to 1 cup )
1/2 - 1 c
onion, chopped ( i used close to 1 cup )
few pinch
parsley flakes
2 - 3 Tbsp
butter, softened

How to Make Cassies Best Loaded French Bread


  • 1Preheat oven to 300 degree F.

    Cut the loaf of French bread lengthwise. Butter bread lightly.
  • 2Mix cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, onion soup mix and mayonnaise, with an electric mixer, until smooth.
  • 3Spread onto the loaf of bread thickly.

    Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
  • 4Next, the peppers and onions.
  • 5Top evenly with the sliced cheese. Sprinkle with parsley flakes.
  • 6Bake 40 - 45 minutes or until bread is crunchy and cheese is bubbly.

    I added some hot pepper flakes to mine...yum!
