WE LOVED THIS PIZZA ANYTIME BUT LIKE TO CUT IT IN SMALL SQUARES FOR APPETIZERS. I WOULD DOUBLE THIS RECIPE FOR NEW YEARS EVE WITH THE FAMILY SITTING AROUND THE FIRE.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon refrigerated pizza crust dough [ i use pillsburys]
  • 2 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix
  • 7 ounces bottle taco sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mexican or kolby jack cheese, divided
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded- divided
  • 1/4 - green onions, sliced
  • 1 can [2.25 oz]- sliced black olives, drained
  • 1 can chopped green chiles, drained

How To Make carol's mexican pizza

  • Step 1
    PREHEAT OVEN TO 425 DEGREES
  • Step 2
    AFTER DRAINING THE COOKED HAMBURGER, SPRINKLE AND STIR IN THE TACO SEASONING; SET ASIDE.
  • Step 3
    GREASE A 9X13 BAKING DISH; SPRINKLE WITH THE CORNMEAL.
  • Step 4
    PRESS DOUGH OUT INTO THE PREPARED PAN. [IT'S MUCH EASIER TO PRESS A PILLSBURY DOUGH IN A 9X13,THEN TRYING TO FIT IT ON A ROUND PIZZA PAN].
  • Step 5
    SPREAD TACO SAUCE WITHIN 1 INCH OF EDGE.
  • Step 6
    SPRINKE WITH 1/2 OF MEXICAN AND CHEDDAR CHEESES.
  • Step 7
    TOP IN ORDER: THE HAMBURG, ONIONS, BLACK OLIVES AND CHILES.
  • Step 8
    SPRINKLE ON THE REMAINING CHEESES.
  • Step 9
    BAKE FOR 17-22 MINUTES OR UNTIL CRUST IS GOLDEN BROWN.
  • Step 10
    CUT INTO APPETIZERS OR SERVING PIECES.... ENJOY
  • Step 11
    NOTE: THO NOT MEXICAN, I ALSO LIKE TO ADD A CAN OF SLICED MUSHROOMS [4 OZ], DRAINED. ALSO EXTRA CHEESE AT TIMES.
