I received this recipe from a co-worker back in the 80's. It's a "Mans" kind of appetizer!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound hot italian sausage
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- dash black pepper
- 1 pound valveeta cheese, melted
- 2 packages party rye bread
How To Make canapes

Step 1Brown hamburger and sausage in skillet. Drain.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients except rye bread. Spoon meat mixture on top of party rye slices. Place on cookie sheets and freeze. Place frozen canapes into freezer bags to be ready for future use.

Step 3To use: place frozen slices under broiler about 5-6 minutes. When top bubbles, canapes are ready to serve. Watch closely to prevent burning.
