Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb
    grated swiss cheese
  • 1/2 lb
    grated gruyere cheese
  • 1 clove
    fresh garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 2 1/4 c
    chablis
  • Just a pinch
    sea salt
  • Just a pinch
    freshly cracked black pepper
  • Just a pinch
    freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1
    baugette, cut into 1 inch cubes

How to Make Bunyan's Swiss Fondon't

Step-by-Step

  1. Rub your fondon't pot with the garlic
  2. Pitch the garlic
  3. Heat 2 cups of wine, in the fondon't pot, over medium heat till air bubbles rise DO NOT BOIL!
  4. Slowly add the cheeses, stirring constantly
  5. Add the cornstarch to the 1/4 cup of wine and whisk to make a slurry
  6. Add the slurry to the fondon't pot stirring constantly
  7. Stick 1 sandwich toothpick into each of the baugette cubes, and swirl in the fondon't
  8. ENJOY!
  9. IF YOU ASK THE BAKER REAL NICE, THEY'LL CUBE THE BAUGETTE FOR YA!!
