Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound grated swiss cheese
  • 1/2 pound grated gruyere cheese
  • 1 clove fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 1/4 cups chablis
  • Just a pinch sea salt
  • Just a pinch freshly cracked black pepper
  • Just a pinch freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 - baugette, cut into 1 inch cubes

How To Make bunyan's swiss fondon't

  • Step 1
    Rub your fondon't pot with the garlic
  • Step 2
    Pitch the garlic
  • Step 3
    Heat 2 cups of wine, in the fondon't pot, over medium heat till air bubbles rise DO NOT BOIL!
  • Step 4
    Slowly add the cheeses, stirring constantly
  • Step 5
    Add the cornstarch to the 1/4 cup of wine and whisk to make a slurry
  • Step 6
    Add the slurry to the fondon't pot stirring constantly
  • Step 7
    Stick 1 sandwich toothpick into each of the baugette cubes, and swirl in the fondon't
  • Step 8
    ENJOY!
