  • 1
    single pie crust
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz
    blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 c
    half and half or light cream
  • 2 medium
  • 3/4 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    coarsely ground pepper
  • 1 bunch
    fresh chives and chive blossoms (optional)

How to Make Blue Cheese Tart Appetizer


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Layer pecans evenly in the bottom of pie crust.
  2. In a food processor or with an electric mixer, combine cream cheese, blue cheese, cream, eggs, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Process until smooth and pour over pecans.
  3. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until filling is set. Cool for 1 hour. Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
  4. To serve, cut into wedges. Garnish with chive and chive blossoms.
