This can be frozen ahead of time then broiled. Freeze on cookie sheets,then place in large freezer bags until ready to use.

  • 1 can (4.5oz)pitted ripe olives,chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 pound bacon,fried and crumbled (or bacon bits)
  • 1 - loaf party rye or pumpernickel

How To Make black olive spread

  • Step 1
    Mix 1st 4 ingredients. spread mixture on 1 loaf party Rye or Pumpernickle.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.Can be frozen at this time
  • Step 3
    When ready to serve;broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
