This is a Texas staple -- one I always serve with barbecue. They go fast!

Ingredients For bacon & cheese stuffed jalapenos

  • 1
    dozen jalapeno peppers
  • 1 pkg
    8-oz. pkg cream cheese
  • 1/2 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c
    real bacon bits (hormel brand) or you can fry up your own bacon and chop it

How To Make bacon & cheese stuffed jalapenos

  • 1
    Using gloves, cut jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and scrape out seeds and white membrane.

    Mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and bacon pieces thoroughly.

    Fill the peppers with the cream cheese mixture and bake at 350 degrees F. until lightly browned on edges of filling.
