My daughter has made these for our Thanksgiving & Christmas celebrations. They're a tasty appetizer. I'm posting this because I almost lost this recipe once already and need a safe place to store it! (From the America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook)

Ingredients
- 1 - puff pastry sheet, thawed (9 in.)
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 5 - strips of bacon, chopped small
- - pepper, to taste
- - parchment paper
How To Make bacon cheese straws

Step 1Adjust oven rack to upper-middle position and preheat to 425 degrees.

Step 2Lay pastry on a sheet of parchment paper and sprinkle the cheese, bacon, and pepper on it. Top with another sheet of parchment paper and use a rolling pin to press it all into the dough. Remove top piece of parchment.

Step 3Using a pizza cutter, cut dough into 3/4 in (or so) strips. Gently twist each strip and bake on parchment lined baking sheet 10-15 minutes, until puffed and golden. Cool 5 minutes.
