had this as a kid every yr for x-mas... i still make it today but not jus at x-mas..thismakes great appitizer served with buttery crackers

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    hickory bacon
  • 1 jar(s)
    prepared horseradish
  • 3 pkg
    [8 oz each] softened cream cheese
  • several dash(es)
    liquid smoke flavoring
  • ·
    parsley flakes
  • ·
    buttery crackers

How to Make bacon cheese ball

Step-by-Step

  1. cut bacon into very small pieces...fry til extra crisp
  2. will bacon cooks...mix orseradish and cream cheese... when bacon is done add to cream cheese[use slotted spoon but is ok for some grease to go into cream cheese,it adds more bacon flavor] taste... add liquid smoke as needed..shape into ball put in fridge
  3. before servin roll in parsley flakes put on nice platter and put crackers around it...
