This was my first entry in a pizza contest that came out phenominal! You had to use certain products and one was a premade pizza crust that came in 2 sizes. I saw the smaller size (8") that came in a package of two and hoped that it would fit on my panini maker for an idea I had. It fit with a teensy room to spare!! It was incredibly good and will make this concoction over and over! Slice into smaller slices for appies!(Ciabatta or focaccia can be used, too.) Recipe and photo by me.

In small frying pan, saute sausage and bacon til done. Remove with a slotted spoon to papertowel-lined plate to cool. In small saute pan, melt butter, add onions and apples, and saute for 5 minutes. Set aside. In small bowl, mix softened cream cheese and parmesan cheese well. Top with second 1/4 cup mozzarella. Top with other pizza crust cream cheese-side down. Press lightly. Brush top with olive oil and carefully flip over using both hands pressing it together. Place oiled-side down onto hot panini maker. Brush top with olive oil and close lid pressing a little. Grill for 8-10 minutes or to desired doneness. Remove with sturdy spatula to cutting board. Slice with a very sharp knife into desired pieces like a pizza. (Cut in half, then into triangles.) Serve immediately with warm maple syrup for dipping if desired. Enjoy!!
