Radish season is upon us! From the cookbook Taste of Morocco by Robert Carrier.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound radishes (best quality!) washed and trimmed
  • 1/2 - orange, juice of
  • 1/2 - meyer lemon, juice of (standard lemon ok)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon icing sugar (aka powdered sugar but granulated sugar ok)
  • 1-2 tablespoon orange flower water (start with 1/2 t. then add more, to taste)

How To Make moroccan radish salad

  • Step 1
    Toss all ingredients together in a non-reactive bowl. Cover and chill.
  • Step 2
    Transfer the mixture to a bowl or platter and serve at room temperature. Suggestion: I lined a bowl with red leaf lettuce first and garnished the top of the radishes with orange zest.
