Ingredients

    1 can white beans, rinsed and drained, 15 oz
  • ·
    4 to 5 cloves garlic, sliced
  • ·
    1/4 tsp. salt
  • ·
    1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
  • ·
    1/4 to 1/3 cup olive oil
  • ·
    1/4 cup snipped fresh basil, optional
  • ·
    pinch crushed red pepper, optional
  • ·
    1 tsp. olive oil
  • ·
    assorted fresh vegetables
  • ·
    toasted baguette slices

How to Make Garlicky White Bean Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. In food processor, mix white beans, garlic, salt and pepper. With machine running, drizzle in enough of the 1/4 to 1/3 cup olive oil to make desired consistency.
  2. If desired, stir in basil and sprinkle with crushed red pepper. Drizzle with 1 tsp. olive oil. Serve with vegetables and baguette. Note: the garlic flavor will increase the longer the dip stands.
