Ingredients
- 1 can black eyed peas, drained
- - seasoning salt
- - canola oil
How To Make fried black eyed peas

Step 1Drain and rinse beans.

Step 2Place on paper towels and allow to air dry on counter for at least an hour.

Step 3When ready to cook, heat oil in dutch oven or electric fryer to 325 degrees.

Step 4With a heat proof strainer (cooking spider) scoop up the peas and place into the hot oil. Only place two scoops in the hot oil to prevent overcrowding.

Step 5Fry until peas are crusty; then drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
