We had a deep fry day at school, Our Chef was out so We did what We could do with what we had. That's when I came up with these baby's!! Sooo good! I have been craving ever since!!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans artichoke hearts
  • 2 - eggs
  • pinch salt, pepper & hot sauce
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make deep fried artichoke's lightly battered

  • Step 1
    Cut artichoke hearts in half and pat dry. Hand whip two eggs in one bowl till frothy and add salt pepper and hot pepper sauce. Whip together. In second bowl add cake flour and following ingredients. Make sure deep fryer reaches 375. Working with both hands, one for wet one for dry. Dip 4-5 at a time first in egg mix, then in flour mix. Drop in deep fryer (no basket) Let fry turning over a few minutes on each side. Let drain on paper bags. Serve with favorite aioli.
