I love these little balls because not only are they delicious, they are about as easy as they can be! Best (IMHO) with snow crabmeat (I use Wakefield's frozen) they are also delish with imitation crab. Amount varies on the size of the crab balls. Great as a party appetizer, or even a late night snack! Photo by Bing.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 6 oz. package frozen snow crabmeat
  • 1 - 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 - 3 teaspoons green onions or chives, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

How To Make yummy mini crab balls

  • Step 1
Thaw and drain snow crab (or fake crab). Blend together softened cream cheese, chives, garlic powder and salt. Fold in crabmeat. Shape into tiny balls. Roll in chopped pecans.*I usually mix some of the pecans in with the crab mixture, and coat with the rest. :) Serve on toothpicks, or alongside crackers.
