peeled seeded and diced roma or plum tomatoes
1 c
diced white onion
2 tsp
minced garlic
1/3 c
olive oil
2 Tbsp
balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp
dried oregano
2 Tbsp
1 lb
bluelump crabmeat, picked over for shells
1 1/2 tsp
kosher salt
1/2 tsp
cracked black pepper
1/3 c
minced fresh basil
baguettes, sliced and toasted

How to Make Warm Blue Crab Bruschetta


  • 1Combine tomatoes, onions, garlic, oil, vinegar, oregano and sugar in 4 1/2 quart crock pot or slow cooker. Cover, cook on low for 2 hours
  • 2Add crabmeat salt and pepper. Stir gently to mix, taking care not to break up crabmeat lumps. Cook on LOW one more hour.
  • 3Fold in basil. Serve on toasted baguette slices.
