This is a great recipe to give shrimp just the right flavor. Very, very good.

1 Tbsp
olive oil
uncooked jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined or use precooked, peeled, deveined shrimp*
1 Tbsp
green onions, sliced
1/4 c
white wine
1 Tbsp
garlic, minced
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
hot sauce
1/2 tsp
cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp
2 Tbsp

How to Make New Orleans Shrimp Appetizer


  • 1In a large cast iron skillet over high heat, add oil and cook shrimp until just done, turning pink. Remove shrimp and set aside. (*If shrimp is precooked, wait and add shrimp at the end of the recipe.)
  • 2Add green onions and cook 1 minute. Add wine and reduce by half.
  • 3When reduced, add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, cayenne pepper and paprika. Cook 1 minute. Reduce heat to low.
  • 4Add butter and melt. Add shrimp to pan; toss well to coat and heat through.
