This recipe is from a cousin in Philadelphia, MS. It's good whether you are having company or it's just you and a friend. Have plenty of crackers on hand.

  • 1-6 oz can(s)
    shrimp (or 1 lb of fresh boiled and peeled shrimp)
  • 1-8 oz pkg
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
    chili sauce
  • 1 c
    minced green onions (use less if you prefer less onion taste)
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped celery
  • 3 Tbsp
    fress squeeze lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground red pepper

How to Make Gulf Coast Shrimp Dip


  1. Finely chop shrimp and set aside.
  2. Chop fresh parsley and celery. Mince green onions.
  3. Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and chili sauce in a bowl.
  4. Add the green onions and the rest of the ingredients except for the shrimp.
  5. Stir well before adding shrimp.
  6. Chill several hours before serving.
