great little appetizer or snack. Love the garlic dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound uncooked shimp peeled and deviened
  • 4 ounces can water chestnuts drained and choppd
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon each minced ginger, minced onion, sherry or shaxoing wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 cups panko bread crumbs
  • - oil for frying
  • GARLIC SAUCE
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon each soy sauce and oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water

How To Make crispy shrimp balls with garlic sauce

  • Step 1
    Shrimp balls
  • Step 2
    throw everything for shrimp ball except panko and oil in food processor and pulse to a paste. Place in freezer 15 minutes. Roll into balls and dredge in panko. Deep fry at 325 degrees until browned Serve with garlic dipping sauce

    Garlic Sauce
  • Step 4
    Add oil to pan and saute the garlic 30 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients except cornstarch and water. Cook one minute. Mix the water and cornstarch together and add to pan to thicken sauce. Serve with shrimp balls
