Pan Fry


  • 1 lb
    squid rings
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    bread crumbs, plain
  • 1.1/2 c
    canola oil
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
  • ·
  • 1 tsp
    parsley, finely chopped

How to Make Crispy Fried Calamari


  1. place squid rings in milk, refrigerate about 30 mins.
  2. meanwhile, combine in a bowl, the rest of the ingredients, except canola oil.
  3. put canola oil in a skillet on med high temperature.
  4. drain the squid rings, and drench in the mixture, shaking excess small batches fry about 2 mins per side.
  5. drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt, while still warm....serve with lemon wedges and Skordalia( See recipe)dipping sauce or marinara sauce.
