bread crumbs, plain
1.1/2 c
canola oil
1 c
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
onion powder
1 tsp
1 tsp
parsley, finely chopped

How to Make Crispy Fried Calamari


  • 1place squid rings in milk, refrigerate about 30 mins.
  • 2meanwhile, combine in a bowl, the rest of the ingredients, except canola oil.
  • 3put canola oil in a skillet on med high temperature.
  • 4drain the squid rings, and drench in the mixture, shaking excess small batches fry about 2 mins per side.
  • 5drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt, while still warm....serve with lemon wedges and Skordalia( See recipe)dipping sauce or marinara sauce.
