bacon shrimp scampi appetizer
This is a very delicious appetizer. Your friends will be very pleased if you serve this at your next gathering. I absolutely love it. The bacon adds a delicious accent to this Scampi dish.

Ingredients
- 1 pound large or jumbo raw shrimp peeled,and cleaned with tails still attached.
- 5 - slices of bacon chopped and cooked. reserve drippings
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 - large cloves of garlic
- 1/3 cup white wine
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 2/3 cup seasoned panko bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
How To Make bacon shrimp scampi appetizer

Step 1Peel the shrimp,and butterfly it. Do this by gently running a knife in the back of the shrimp. Do not cut all the way through the back.

Step 2Cook the bacon until brown and crisp. remove bacon,and set aside. Chop the garlic and parsley.

Step 3Remove half the bacon drippings. Add the 5 tablespoons of butter until melted. Add the chopped Garlic,pinch of Cayenne pepper, and shrimp. Cook for a couple minutes on both sides.

Step 4Add the wine,and cook for another 2 minutes. If using a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle the bread crumbs,bacon,and parsley on top. Place under broiler until crumbs are browned,or pour the shrimp/wine mixture in to a small casserole dish. Top with the bacon ,bread crumbs,and parsley. Place under broiler,and brown. Serve
