Spicy Sauerkraut Balls

Patricia Yates

This was one of my mother's favorite appetizers. She brought them to a lot of family get-togethers and they were always a hit. I use Bob Evans or Jimmy Dean Hot sausage, but you could use just the regular sausage.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

With a spicy, creamy inside and a crusty shell, this appetizer really packs a punch of great flavor. These would be fabulous at any party... football, game night, even at a holiday party.

Note: I used about 1/2 cup breadcrumbs in the mix and 3 1/2 cups to roll the balls in. The Test Kitchen
