My brother did not like the cereal in the chex party mix, so my mother always made him pecans like this.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1/4 c
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    louisiana hot sauce
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    tony chachere's seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    lawry's seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp
    mexene chile powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 2 c
    pecan halves

How to Make Pepper Pecans

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine melted butter with all seasonings. Stir in pecans. Let them sit covered at least 30 minutes. Drain.
  2. Spread evenly in 13x9-inch pan. Bake in preheated oven at 300 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes.
  3. Spread on paper towels to cool. Sprinkle with salt.
