My brother did not like the cereal in the chex party mix, so my mother always made him pecans like this.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons louisiana hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon tony chachere's seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon lawry's seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon mexene chile powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 2 cups pecan halves

How To Make pepper pecans

  • Step 1
    Combine melted butter with all seasonings. Stir in pecans. Let them sit covered at least 30 minutes. Drain.
  • Step 2
    Spread evenly in 13x9-inch pan. Bake in preheated oven at 300 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Spread on paper towels to cool. Sprinkle with salt.
