  • 8 oz
    elbow macaroni
  • 6 large
    slices prosciutto cut in half and put in freezer to firm them up a bit
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter divided
  • 1/4 c
    panko bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp
    plus 2 tsp. flour
  • 1 1/4 c
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 3/4 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Macaroni and Cheese cups


  1. cook macaroni and reserve 1/4 cup water.
  2. Preheat oven 375 degrees
  3. Melt 1 tbsp. butter in pan and add panko and cook 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Melt 2 tbsp. butter in pan add flour and cook 2 minutes. Whisk in milk and cook 5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
  5. Add pasta water, cheeses, mustard and salt. Stir in macaroni
  6. Put 1 slice of proscuitto in each muffin pan cup. Press it around to shape the cup. Top with macaroni and cheese mixture. Sprinkle with panko.
  7. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
