How to Make Easy Onionettes
- Preheat the broiler
- In a small bowl, mix together the cheese and mayonnaise. Spread evenly on the bread slices. Cut each into 4 equal squares. Place a onion slice on each square.
- Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat until browned, about 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
- Makes 16 small opened faced sandwiches. These can be cut smaller for bite size. I count 2 sandwiches for a serving.
