Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb
    boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 8
    peeled shrimp
  • 1/2 c
    shitake mushrooms
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 3 clove
    garlic
  • 3
    scallions white parts only
  • 1/4 tsp
    sesame oil
  • ·
    pinch of white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 15
    wonton wrappers
  • ·
    green peas for garnish

How to Make Chicken Shu Mai Dim Sum Chinese Appetizer

Step-by-Step

  1. Place all ingredients except wonton wrappers and peas in food processor. Put in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Place a wonton wrapper on cutting board.
  3. Place about 2 tbsp filling in the middle
  4. Wet fingertips and gather up the sides and pinch the four corners together
  5. Cut the wings off.
  6. Top with green peas.
  7. Place the dim sums in bamboo steamer and steam over boiling water for about 5 to 7 minutes
  8. Serve with favorite dipping sauce. I use sweet soy sauce with a little chili sauce mixed in
