Ingredients

1/2 lb
boneless skinless chicken thighs

peeled shrimp
1/2 c
shitake mushrooms
1/2 Tbsp
grated ginger
3 clove
garlic

scallions white parts only
1/4 tsp
sesame oil
pinch of white pepper
1/2 tsp
soy sauce
1/2 Tbsp
cornstarch

wonton wrappers
green peas for garnish

How to Make Chicken Shu Mai Dim Sum Chinese Appetizer

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place all ingredients except wonton wrappers and peas in food processor. Put in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • 2Place a wonton wrapper on cutting board.
  • 3Place about 2 tbsp filling in the middle
  • 4Wet fingertips and gather up the sides and pinch the four corners together
  • 5Cut the wings off.
  • 6Top with green peas.
  • 7Place the dim sums in bamboo steamer and steam over boiling water for about 5 to 7 minutes
  • 8Serve with favorite dipping sauce. I use sweet soy sauce with a little chili sauce mixed in
