Here is another one of my Mom's recipes that I thought was lost forever. I loved when my mom and grandmother would make pickles.

Ingredients

2 qt
sliced cucumbers
1 1/2 c
sliced onions
2 c
vinegar
1/2 tsp
tumeric
1/4 tsp
celery seed
3 1/2 tsp
mustard seed

Step-By-Step

1Place sliced cucumbers and onions in dish and cover with ice cubes and 1 quart water. Let stand in refrigerator for 3 hours to make sure they are crisp.
2Mix vinegar, tumeric, celery seed and mustard seed together and bring to a boil.
3Take cucumbers and onions out of water and simmer in vinegar mixture for 10 minutes.
4Place in jars and cover with liquid.
5Seal jars. Always refrigerate before eating.
