They disappear almost as they come out of the oven. I found this recipe years ago and have never found it again. After making it for 38 years I claim ownership. This is a Rumaki everyone will devour.

Ingredients
- 1 can 8 oz. whole water chestnuts, drained
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 slices bacon
How To Make bacon nuts

Step 1Marinate the water chestnuts in the soy sauce and rum for 1 hour. Put ¼ cup of sugar in a plastic bag, add the water chestnuts and shake until coated. Cut bacon strips in half and wrap each water chestnut with a strip of bacon. And fasten with a toothpick. Bake at 400* 15 to 18 minutes. Drain well and serve hot.
