I whipped this glaze up last weekend when trying to come up with a new take on brown-sugar glazed little was a HUGE hit!

  • 1 pkg
    lil' smokies mini smoked sausages
  • 1 c
    maple syrup
  • 1/2 c
    prepared honey mustard
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 lb
    bacon, cut into 4 pcs per strip

How to Make Party Weiners


  1. Using 1/4 a strip of bacon per sausage, wrap each sausage in a bacon blanket and secure with a toothpick. Place close together, pick side up, on a foiled, sprayed sheet pan.
  2. Whisk together the sugar, honey mustard, and syrup. For ease of application, put glaze into a zip-top bag and snip off a corner for "piping".
  3. Drizzle glaze evenly over all sausages. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 mins or until bacon is crisp and glaze begins to carmelize (excess dribbles on the foil may actually burn = be careful). Serve hot or cold. This "glaze" works well on pork chops, too. :)
