hoisin ginger pork & fruit skewers

Made these for myself today, just playing around with what I had. Also added grilled pineapple, but cant wait till summer to grill fresh in season fruit! Im thinking peaches!!! What a great app, making for the superbowl. All my friends and family love spicy!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds thin sliced boneless pork
  • 1 1/2 cups hoison sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, low sodium
  • - fruit of choice & juice, or lime juice
  • - skewers
  • - chopped green onion
  • - honey

How To Make hoisin ginger pork & fruit skewers

  • Step 1
    For grilling wooden skewers so they dont burn, soak in water for a half hour before loading them up! Marinate pork in 1/2c hoisin 1tbs 1tsp soy, lime juice or pineapple juice, and 1/2tsp ginger, for at least 1/2 hour. I marinated over night.
  • Step 2
    Put meat and fruit of choice on skewers. Brush fruit with honey soy mix. Place on heated grill or grill pan, grill for 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Step 3
    Top with chopped green onions. Serve with dipping sauce for a great app. Or serve with side of rice for great one dish meal. DIPPING SAUCE 1C Hoison with 2tsp-soy & 2tsp-pineapple juice. FRUIT BRUSH !/2c juice with 2tsp honey
