This is a very easy, tasty appetizer. It does use whiskey but the alcohol cooks off.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds hot dogs, cut into into 4ths
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup whiskey
  • 1 cup ketchup

How To Make drunkin' dogs

  • Step 1
    Mix brown sugar, whiskey and ketchup in a sauce pan. Simmer, one to two hours over low heat.
  • Step 2
    Add the hotdog pieces and continue simmering until sauce is reduced and thick.
  • Step 3
    Serve warm using toothpicks.
