This is a very easy, tasty appetizer. It does use whiskey but the alcohol cooks off.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 2 lb
    hot dogs, cut into into 4ths
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    whiskey
  • 1 c
    ketchup

How to Make Drunkin' Dogs

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix brown sugar, whiskey and ketchup in a sauce pan. Simmer, one to two hours over low heat.
  2. Add the hotdog pieces and continue simmering until sauce is reduced and thick.
  3. Serve warm using toothpicks.
