Caribbean Cocktail Sausages
These have a jerk-seasoned pineapple glaze and a little heat added with hot pepper sauce. But well worth making and eating.
2 pkg(16-oz) cocktail wieners or small cooked smoked sausage links
1 jar(s)(12-oz) pineapple preserves
1/2 tspfinely shredded lime peel
1 Tbsplime juice
1 tspjamaican jerk seasoning
1 tspground ginger
2 clovegarlic, minced
·few dashes bottled hot pepper sauce
·key lime wedges (optional)
How to Make Caribbean Cocktail Sausages
- In a 3.5 or 4 quart slow cooker combine cocktail weiners, preserves, lime peel, lime juice, jerk seasoning, ginger, garlic, and hot pepper sauce.
- Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 hours or on high-heat for 2 hours. Serve immediately or keep warm, covered, on warm setting or low-heat setting for up to 2 hours. Serve with decorative toothpicks. If desired, garnish with key lime wedges.
