Ingredients

  • - 8 slices of thick cut bacon
  • - 1 large onion chopped
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • - 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • - 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • - 1 cup sour cream
  • - 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • - 10 ounce can diced tomatoes with chilies, drained

How To Make crock pot cheesy bacon onion dip

  • Step 1
    Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until slightly crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel. Chop when cooled to the touch.
  • Step 2
    Drain the bacon grease and leave 1 tablespoon in the skillet. Add the onion to the pan and season with salt, pepper, and brown sugar. Cook for 1 - 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute. Mix the cream cheese and sour cream together in the slow cooker.
  • Step 4
    Add mozzarella cheese, onions, bacon and diced tomatoes. Heat on high for 1 -2 hours until warm and cheese has melted. Serve with crackers or chips.
