Ingredients

  • - 1 tbsp. butter
  • - 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • - 3/4 cup picante sauce or medium hot salsa
  • - 1 pkg. cream cheese, 3 oz
  • - 4 oz. shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • - 8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • - dash paprika
  • - 2 cans chopped green chilies, 4 oz. each
  • - dash worcestershire
  • - 1/2 tsp. salt
  • - 3 tbsp. hot sauce, optional(such as paula deen hot sauce)
  • - 2 lbs. john morrell cocktail smokes or other brand
  • - cooking oil spray and tortilla chips

How To Make bistro beef cocktail smokies

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and saute til tender. Add picante sauce and stir. Gradually add cream cheese and shredded cheese. Stir in paprika, green chiles, Worcestershire sauce, salt and hot sauce; continue cooking and stirring til cheese is melted and the mixture is well blended.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 350. Arrange sausages on baking sheet lined with foil. Spray with cooking oil spray. Bake for 12 to 18 minutes or til heated through. Put sausages in a bowl and pour cheese sauce over the top. Serve with tortilla chips and toothpicks. This makes a great snack or appetizer for a cocktail party.
