Great cheese ball for any party or tailgating!! Who doesn't love cheese and bacon, yummy!! Make sure to use fresh crispy cooked bacon, not imitation or store bought bacon bits. Also allow enough time for the ball to chill and flavors to meld before serving.

Ingredients

8 oz
package cream cheese
1/4 c
grated parmesan cheese
1 clove
garlic, minced
1/2 c
shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp
seasoned salt (lawry's)
1/8 tsp
cayenne pepper (or more to taste)
2 sprig(s)
green onions, finely sliced
1/2 c
chopped, cooked bacon (about 5-6 slices)

COATING/TOPPING

1/4 c
shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c
cooked, chopped, crispy bacon (roughly 2-3 slices)

How to Make BACON CHEESE BALL

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, shredded cheddar and garlic until blended.
  • 2Stir in spices, bacon and green onion. Shape into one large ball or three mini balls.
  • 3Wrap cheese balls in plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 1 hour or until firm.
  • 4Just before serving(at least 30 mins), remove from refrigerator and unwrap from the plastic. Mix together the coating (bacon & cheese) and then roll chilled cheese ball in the coating until it is all covered. Serve with crackers, pretzels, veggies etc.
