1/3 c. packed light brown sugar
2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp. rice vinegar
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
1 garlic clove, grated
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 12-ounce package broccoli florets, halved if large (about 4 cups)
Cooked white rice, for serving 
Sliced scallions, toasted sesame seeds and/or sriracha, for topping
