Double of the original recipe since this is David's very favorite!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 large onion,chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • (2) 10 ounces tomato soup
  • (2) 10.5 ounces can of water
  • (2) 6 ounces tomato paste
  • to taste - salt and pepper
  • to taste - red pepper (optional)
  • 8 ounces sharp chedder cheese, shredded
  • 1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked

How To Make goulash (large batch)

  • Step 1
    Boil macaroni. Brown ground beef with onion, celery and peppers, drain fat. Add rest of ingredients - except the cheese. Add to cooked macaroni. Mix well.
  • Step 2
    Put all in a 9x13 baking dish. Top with shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 min or 375 for 30 min.
