goulash (small batch)
My mother started making this for dinner on Halloween night as it was easy to prepare this dish early and it would stay warm as you answered the door for trick or treaters. I carried on the tradition with my kids. Goulash was served with coleslaw and dinner biscuits.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chipped
- 10 ounces tomato soup
- 10 ounces can of water
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- to taste - salt and pepper
- to taste - red pepper (optional)
- 4 ounces sharp cheddsr cheese, shredded
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
How To Make goulash (small batch)

Step 1Boil macaroni. Brown ground beef with onion, celery and peppers, drain fat. Add rest of ingredients - except the cheese. Add to cooked macaroni. Mix well.

Step 2Put all in a 2 qt. casserole dish. Top with shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 min or 375 for 30 min.
