This is an old fashioned dessert, but very good. I have had this recipe since the 80's.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup pecan pieces
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 5 cups french bread cubes
How To Make bread pudding

Step 1For the bread cubes: Using a large bread knife, cut crust off of the french bread. Stack a few slices and cube into 1" cubes. Set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together, add the eggs, spices, vanilla and milk, stir after each addition.

Step 3Add the bread cubes, raisins and pecans, toss until all the bread has been coated well. Put mixture into a greased, covered baking dish. Let stand for about 15 minutes. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, take lid off and bake additional 10 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream.
