honey & dried fig scones
Don't you just love scones! I don't know if I've ever met one that I didn't like and some that I absolutely love. This one has a good standing as I know for a fact that I've never met a fig that I didn't love.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup oldfashioned oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 10 dried figs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
- 4 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup low-fat yogurt
- 1/4 cup honey
How To Make honey & dried fig scones

Step 1Preheat oven to 220°C/ 430°F. Cut figs into smaller cubes.

Step 2Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.

Step 3Cube the cold butter and mix it into the flour-mix using your hands. Make sure there are no lumps bigger than a pea.

Step 4Stir together yogurt and honey and add it to the bowl.

Step 5Divide the dough in two and make a flat round of each one. Cut into 6 scones each.

Step 6Transfer to a baking sheet with non-stick paper and place the scones in the oven. Immediately turn down the heat to 175°C/ 350°F and bake for approx. 25 minutes.

Step 7Serve warm and enjoy.
