This amazing recipe comes courtesy of the Kroger Company and is a quick alternative to oven-baked meatloaf. Many people like it better. Ready in half an hour! 01/08/2018

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup, divided
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

How To Make skillet meatloaf

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine the first eleven (11) ingredients. Add 1 Tablespoon of the ketchup and mix with hands until well combined. Form into eight (8) patties.
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat Add patties and cook, flipping every four (4) minutes or so and reducing heat as necessary, until patties reach an internal temperature of 160º--it will take about ten (10) minutes per side.
  • Step 3
    Remove patties from skillet to plate and tent with foil.
  • Step 4
    Return the skillet to medium heat and add brown sugar and the remaining two (2) Tablespoons ketchup. Cook until bubbling and sugar is dissolved, 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Spread glaze over tops of patties and serve. Refrigerate any leftovers.
