The French are masters of butter! Here is a tasty blend of herbs you can garnish a grilled steak or to smear on French bread.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened - use the best you can find!
- 1 tablespoon dry white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced or grated
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, minced (use 1/8 tsp if dried)
- 1 teaspoon parsley, minced
- 1 tablespoon shallots, very finely minced
- 1 pinch finely ground sea salt, or to taste
How To Make french herbed butter

Step 1Beat softened butter in small bowl. Add rest of ingredients and beat until well blended.

Step 2If using on steak or grilled meat: Place on waxed paper and make a tube-shaped roll about diameter of a quarter - 2 cm or so. Chill. Slice when ready to serve.

Step 3If using as a spread on bread: Place in small dish and use at room temperature.
