INGREDIENTS

1.Use an extra egg; most boxed mixes call for 3 eggs - use 4 for a cake that's richer tasting and moister.

2. Substitute dairy; replace water with dairy.

3. Add a mix-in; fold mix in into the batter last, adding up to 1 cup
•
4. Add extracts; boost flavor with an extra teaspoon or so of extract.
•
5. Put some pudding in the mix; add a small box of pudding mix in with the cake mix.
•
6. Make a filling; simple one is a cup of mini chocolate chips, 1/2 cup light brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Pour 1/2 cake batter into a bundt pan, top with filling mixture, cover the filling with remaining cake batter.
