This is a classic pound cake. Some of my favorites are Lemon, Chocolate, and peanut butter ( this cake is the one in the picture).

Ingredients For pound cake

  • 1 pkg
    cake mix, any flavor
  • 1 pkg
    instant pudding, any flavor
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/3 c
    oil
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • icing

How To Make pound cake

    In a mixing bowl, mix all of the ingredients together and mix for about 3-4 minutes. While mixing, prepare a pan( this can be a bread pan, a Bundt pan or a tube pan) by spraying with pan spray and then flouring the pan. Bake at 350 for about 50 - 60 minutes.

    Let cake sit for about 5 minutes, turn out onto plate. Microwave the icing(if you want icing) until it melts a little and then drizzle over the cake.

    Choc cake-choc pudding lemon cake-lemon pudding, 1 Tbls lemon jiuce and so on Peanut butter cake-yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding and add 1/2 cup peanut butter Coconut: coconut cream pudding, coconut flavoring (t tsp) Strusel pound cake: yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding. Add a layer of this in the center of cake: 2 c graham crackers crumbs, 3/4 c brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 c butter, nuts is desired(mix together)
