These are delicious simply served with butter, however, they are great with all kinds of jams or jellies too. Plus, they are perfect for making a batch of homemade biscuits and gravy for breakfast.

Ingredients For cream cheese biscuits

  • 1 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    cake flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, cut into 1/2 inch pieces and frozen for 30 minutes
  • 4 Tbsp
    unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch pieces and frozen 30 minutes
  • 1 c
    plus 1 tablespoon buttermilk

How To Make cream cheese biscuits

    Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. In a food processor, pulse together all-purpose flour, cake flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cream cheese and butter.

    Transfer flour mixture to large bowl. Stir in buttermilk until combined.

    Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead briefly until dough comes together. Roll out dough to 3/4 inch thick. Cut out with a biscuit cutter.

    Bake until light brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and brush tops of biscuits with butter. Serve warm.
