Makes 2 – 9? cakes (cut each in half)
3 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ginger
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup ( 2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups (packed) brown sugar
3 large eggs, room temperature
1 (15 ounces) can pure pumpkin
½ cup whole milk
Cream Cheese Filling
1 ½ 8oz.packages of cream cheese, softened
1 cup or 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
4 cups or 1 pound confectioners’ sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Topping
½ cup caramel topping
