Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening (part margarine or butter)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodle cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 400. Mix shortening, 11/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly. blend flour, cream of tarter, soda and salt: stir in.

Step 2Shape dough in 1" balls. Roll mixture in 2 tbs sugar and cinnamon. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet.

Step 3Bake 8 to 10 minuets. These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out.
