fudge nut cookies
This recipe came from Grandma Burgess and is usually made at Christmas. I believe this is a family favorite for everyone and is one of the easiest cookies that I make.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 can eagle brand milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make fudge nut cookies
-
Step 1In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and butter together on low heat(do not microwave) Take off heat and add the rest of the ingredients, in the given order, in the pan and mix together after each addition. Let sit for about 1/2 hour until dough can be handled.
-
Step 2Divide the dough into 4 parts. Cut 4 pieces of plastic wrap, about 12-15" long. Put each piece of dough in the plastic wrap and roll into a log about 1" in diameter(moving the plastic every once in a while to accommodate the dough. Wrap the dough completely in the plastic wrap and chill the logs.
-
Step 3Take off the plastic wrap and slice with a sharp knife into 1/4" slices. Place cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet about 1/2" apart and bake at 325 for 10 minutes.
