INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 cups sugar

1 cup shortening
•
6 eggs
•
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
•
3 cups all-purpose flour
•
1/2 teaspoon salt
•
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
•
1 cup buttermilk
•
Chocolate Frosting
•
stick or 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
•
cups powdered sugar
•
teaspoon vanilla extract
•
to 6 tablespoons milk
•
2 cup cocoa ( I use Nestles 100% pure cocoa)
•
Mix all ingredients with mixer until spreading consistency. Spread on cake.
